We recommend the short stem option for folks that skate at the skatepark and for plates that have an alley key to secure your toe stops (i.e.: SureGrip Avanti plates, Powerdyne Reactor plates etc).
We recommend the long stem for roller derby players and for folks with plates that require a nut to secure your toe stops (i.e.: Moxi Rainbow Riders, Riedell R3 plates, Sunlite plates etc).
